Role Description:

Team Leader will manage a team of Digital Project Managers and Digital Production Leads as direct reports and provide support for their individual development and career path progression. The team size would be around 12+ associates depending on their business unit requirements

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

¬Team Lead is directly responsible for the performance management and a development plan for the associates

Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the delivery of digital tactics (Digital – E-mailers, Banner Ad, IVAs, VAEs) for LMS
  • Accountable for the success of team relative to digital production
  • Accountable for the development of consistent and repeatable operational capabilities and methodologies
  • Provide oversight and technical direction to Digital Project Managers and Digital Production Leads
  • Ensure all tactics maintain the highest standard of quality
  • Establish and foster relationships with team partners, leaders and marketers
  • Serve as an escalation point for tactic development issues
  • Ensure compliance with Enterprise Architecture and the Digital Reference Architecture
  • Ensure delivery and support of reliable digital marketing solutions in support of launches and growth brands
  • Represent LMS Digital in governance discussion and decisions, partnering closely with LMS business teams and IT Architecture teams as appropriate
  • Influence global counterparts on US digital development needs and integration points that impact global platforms
  • Actively shape company policies and procedures governing digital channels to deliver ongoing compliance with minimal bureaucracy optimized to customer value

Leadership Development and Coaching:

  • Conduct PM reviews/ check-ins to evaluate performance (including timelines and quality objectives), business results, impact, and compliance
  • Help the team achieve their goal/target for the financial year
  • Have regular meetings with reporting manager (Associate Director) and discuss about their direct reports
  • Appropriately manage the workload of direct reports; monitor project timelines and quality and communicate priorities to direct reports
  • Provide input on employee development, talent assessment, and keep the reporting manager aware of all the above behaviors on a regular basis
  • Encourage appropriate rewards for deserving individual/group performance and results
  • Ensure all direct reports are compliant with company policies, procedures, and regulations, and most importantly training needs
Requirements

Minimum Experience/Personal Skill Requirements:

  • Prior experience in team leadership is mandatory with developing Digital assets for the team. This requires a thorough understanding of coding best practices in front end development mainly using HTML/ CSS/ JavaScript. The role would also require having a strategic understanding of platforms such as Adobe/ Salesforce/ etc. and have a well-rounded expertise of setting up IT platforms for the organization.
  • Should have at least 2-3 years of experience in people management
  • Coach, manage and develop a team of creative problem solvers

o Partner with direct reports to create individual development planning/action planning

o Serve as trusted career advisor, and work with HR to identify career opportunities as appropriate

o Conduct effective one-on-one coaching sessions using the company coaching framework by encouraging two-way dialogue and open feedback, listening actively, being flexible, and identifying knowledge, skill, and performance gaps.

  • Know processes, brand strategies and tactics, and support resources

o Understand culture, organizational structure, roles, and practices, including strong knowledge of how Marketing Operations fits into bigger picture of Marketing Services and the organization

o Understand outside agency structures and processes

o Know products and services and disease states

o Model strong knowledge of tactic lifecycle

o Demonstrate knowledge of tactic types and associated requirements

o Actively participate in deviation investigations

o Show knowledge of systems, software, tools, and Supervisor resources

o Exhibit knowledge of healthcare environment and regulated industry practices

  • Ensure quality, speed, value, and compliance throughout the Customer Information Materials Lifecycle

o Follow basic project management when leading special projects

o Identify improvement opportunities and remove barriers

o Partner effectively across functions

o Conduct capacity planning and resourcing

o Uphold policies and procedures

o Demonstrate ability to partner effectively across functions by cultivating a strong network of cross-functional colleagues

o Facilitate shared learning forums to identify challenges and establish best practices across the team

Education Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a Business Management/ Pharma/ Social Sciences/ B.E./ B. Tech
  • Should have managed Content Management projects (Digital – E-mailers, Banner Ad, IVAs, VAEs etc.)
