Lead, guide and supervise a team of polymer chemists & technologists for the development of new products and improvement in existing products and processes.

Regular assessment of new polymer chemistry and processes that meet current and future needs of the relevant industries.

Responsible for defining R&D activities aligned with the latest polymer technology and innovation roadmaps.

Work in tandem with the sales team to develop products as per their requirement.

Responsible for setting standards for quality.

Ensuring timely progress of R&D activities.

Address gaps in performance of current products and future needs of the business.

Scale up and amplify innovation in products.

Formulate new products for different applications for the industries served by the company.

Planning, designing, & conducting projects within the time frame using methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of research.

Give inputs in evaluating project cost/ benefit analysis.

Analysing the operations for the improvement in the existing products based on literature search, market trends, and technical understanding.

Coordinating the entire product development including feasibility of resource analysis, finalizing specifications, designing, testing activities.

Translating customer requirements into well developed & accepted product.

Application method development.

Standardization of products at pilot plant for production & further scale up to commercial scale.

Developing testing procedures/systems

Identifying the areas of obstruction/quality failures & taking necessary corrective measures

Customers Product evaluation - get absolute values in all Quality parameters for in-house development

Responsibilities of providing technical services with corrective/preservative actions for any complaint received from the client

Develop guideline formulations

Troubleshooting, investigating, and providing CAPA for complaints / NFD’s

Knowledge and expertise to improve product shelf life.

Develop, train and educate a solid R&D team including: chemists & technologists (R&D and application), scientists & managers, Quality control, and techno-commercial team for each industry

Up to date on the latest lab equipment and developments in machinery required for lab synthesis

Identify new applications and opportunities for existing and new products

Responsible for lab safety procedures and efficient working conditions as per the industry standards

Responsible for man-power requirements for the Team
