  • Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies, meeting company goals and objectives
  • Focus on strategies to accelerate growth.
  • Working knowledge of how to conduct market research and analysis including the creation of detailed business plans.
  • Extensive understanding of business growth models and the ability to foresee commercial opportunities.
  • Develop plans for expansion and business development
  • Understand existing customer relationships and their requirements to ensure they are being met
  • Willingness to take strategic risks, acting to acquire new customers and manage client relationships
  • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service, etc.)
  • Excellent relational skills, working tirelessly to build and maintain beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Strong working knowledge of metrics to monitor the performance of commercial activities, reporting results to senior management
  • Strategic development and critical thinking skills needed to assist in setting financial targets, developing budgets, and monitoring compliance
  • Maintain up to date pricing in system-based material master.
  • Upload price amendments received from headquarters time to time.
  • Interact with local and HQ master data management team for keeping accurate pricing in system
  • Analyzing the business performance, including the profitability, revenue, pricing and cost of goods sold
  • Lead role in advising around pricing for commercial contracts
  • Partnering with business managers to drive financial performance
  • Taking a lead role in solving commercial issues that may arise

Sales Operation

  • Lead sales operation and ensure smooth operation and drive automation in manual and reparative processes.
  • Drive CRM adoption and end to end transparency, Data cleanup, publishing Dashboards.

Procurement

  • Ensure ROP, ROQ, Rate contracts, etc. for local items.
  • Negotiate with supplier on third party items and ensure desired quality of supplies through these suppliers.

Accounting / provisions

  • Keep overview on P&L positions
  • Carry root cause analysis and then mitigation plan for identified risk areas
  • Ensure team is submitting data on time for correct accounting and expense booking.

Working Capital Management

  • Actively involve in working capital planning.
  • Drive operational efficiency in terms of inventory and receivables to optimize MED working capital ratios.
  • Work with legal team on disputed cases of accounts receivable.

People Development

  • Follow a culture of continuous improvement and learning
  • Demonstrate a self-directed and high-performance culture in the team
  • The incumbent will manage a team of 14 people (4 direct, 10 indirect)
Requirements
  • CA/ICWA/MBA (Finance) is required
  • Min. 6-7 years experience in commercial finance in a large MNC
  • Team handling experience is mandatory.
  • Experience is INCOTERMS, GST, Contracts, Export/Import & Payments is required.
